Hepatitis C: Up to 99% of Patients Cured!

Armed with personalized regimens, our patients declare lasting victory in their battle with Hepatitis C.  Our practice is thrilled to announce our stellar results in curing Hepatitis C. With a 96-99% cure rate, a majority of our patients can expect to put the disease behind them forever.

The infection of the liver is caused by the hepatitis C virus. About 3.2 million people in the U.S. have the disease. But it causes few symptoms, so most of them don’t know.

We utilize direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) to directly interfere with the hepatitis C virus replication. Results show that 96-99% of our patients who had no prior treatment were cured with just 8 to 12 weeks of therapy. We are beyond pleased with these results.

We strive to deliver simple, uncomplicated regimens with no or minimal side-effects. Patients can rejoice in learning that our treatment is both interferon-free and ribavirin-free.

We deliver first-rate results by utilizing the latest knowledge, the latest treatment regimens, and careful supervision. We actively work in tandem with your insurance company to ensure that you are receiving the treatment protocol that you deserve.

No one should live with the lifelong uncertainties of Hepatitis C. Take back your life, and schedule an appointment today.

Remember; we steadfastly remain your best advocate, no matter what changes occur.

Pioneering New Healthcare Technology: Eko Electronic Stethoscope

Eko Core engages patients with a digital visualization of their heartbeat.

As a huge advocate for innovation in healthcare technology, I am both engaging and empowering my patients with my practice’s implementation of Eko Core.

With Eko Core, an electronic stethoscope, patients can “visualize, save, playback, and share their heartbeat” on the Eko iOS App for unprecedented insight. Utilizing this digital visualization of heart information, my physician colleagues and I can better coordinate care for our mutual patients while enhancing the patient experience (in a HIPAA compliant manner, of course).

The digital visualization of my patients’ heartbeat refines my ability to explain difficult medical concepts to my patients, while engaging them with its compatibility with iOS devices. Additionally, Eko Core doubles as a digital means to empower my patients, as they can utilize their digitized heart information in any way they wish on their mobile device.

By incorporating Eko Core into my practice, I further my mission to provide an immersive experience for my patients using the latest and greatest healthcare technology has to offer.

‘Superbug’ CRE, worried about infection?

As an established physician, I wish to disseminate any misinformation distributed by sensationalist media regarding disease outbreak in GI practices.

Our practice recently received numerous inquiries regarding risk of infection with endoscopic procedures, after national news coverage of an outbreak of “superbug” CRE (Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae) at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Immediately upon receiving news of the outbreak, our practice acted swiftly and took extra steps to ensure the safest environment for our patients. However, it is necessary to clarify the information sensationalized by the media, in the interest of keeping all of my patients and the general public well-informed.

These infections were result of ERCP procedures, performed on extremely sick patients in the hospital to manage diseases of pancreas, bile ducts and liver. It is important to clarify that these instances of infection all occurred in hospitals where rates of infection are significantly higher than normal. Infection rates in hospitals are not an accurate reflection of infections in other settings.

What the media failed to clarify concerns me considerably as a physician, as sensationalist news is causing undue anxiety to patients undergoing endoscopy. Most patients undergo colonoscopy and upper endoscopy at outpatient facilities that traditionally cater to a healthier population. These centers are significantly less likely to harbor such superbugs.  Moreover, most quality ambulatory surgery centers carry a certificate of accreditation by AAAHC or an equivalent national regulatory agency. These centers are strictly regulated by their accreditation organization. Our practice utilizes only the best centers and resources for our patients.

If the issue still concerns you, there are additional steps you can take to ensure the safety of your procedure. If you want to take patient safety to the next level, you should seek an endoscopy center with additional certification by ASGE (American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy),  awarded to only select centers that pass stringent criteria.

Our practice utilizes the services of Newport Center Surgical (Newport Beach)  and Pacific Endoscopy and Surgery Center (Fountain Valley), both of which are AAAHC and ASGE certified.

Again, we only work with facilities that maintain highest standards  of quality and patient safety.
